Trump has sought legal interventions in Wisconsin and Michigan. By Wednesday noon, Indian Standard Time, I saw him comfortably winning these states. Only few votes remained to be counted. But I found it strange that voting had been halted in these two as well as in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
By late evening, Joe Biden was leading Wisconsin. He had a lead of a fraction of a percentage point. In Michigan, Trump’s lead had been reduced to a similar margin, soon to emerge as lost. As I compared my notes, around 140,000 of new votes in Wisconsin and Michigan had all gone to Biden. ALL. Not a single one to Trump. How is that possible?
It also didn’t make sense that Michigan would vote for Biden. I mean they have probably suffered most with their manufacturing jobs going to Asia. I am sure these facts would make you seek justice as Trump is doing now. Trump tweets about the “disappearing” lead. Twitter hides it.
I now wish to take your mind to days when Trump had contracted Coronavirus. The election fever was at full pitch. CNN rushed to inform us that Trump was so ill, he had to be put in emergency. Then we saw, Trump walking out of the hospital next day. He was back in the White House. He was not so ill after all.
I subscribe to New York Times. As I do Washington Post and a host of other media outlets in the United States. Nobody who reads US newspapers has had one single good word to find on Trump. He was roiled for 230,000 pandemic deaths. That more than 10 million were infected. That economy was wretched. Pollsters declared it was no contest. Now we find Trump in the game. We have a choice to call media either biased or rigged. I prefer later.
Look at my logic. How many Americans know that their government don’t control Dollars? It’s by Federal Reserve which is a private cartel. That the only currency US government owns is coin it mints. That only 3 percent of all US currency is real: The rest is a hoax created by crafty bankers on their computer screens. They create money just by wave of a hand. No US government dare go against them. If these Bankers could expand the supply of money, they could contract it as well. And when that happens, and millions are out of job, and civil unrest begins, you are kicked out of White House.
If the US is bound to these moneybags, it would be childish to believe that media isn’t. Sometimes it becomes public like Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has done with Washington Post. Mostly it’s a labyrinth you could never work out. There are layers and layers of deception created by this cartel of world’s most powerful bankers. Henry Ford had opined that if people do come to know it all, there would be a revolution next morning.
There was a third party in the US political spectrum till the end of the 19th century. It used to seek financial reform. Populist Party, Greenback Labour Party, Antimonopolist Party etc. William Jennings Bryan, who was a Populist candidate for President in 1896 and 1900 was the last one to seriously challenge the Bankers. Kennedy did try in the 60s but then paid with his life. Since then no ripple on the surface. The control is total.
The advent of Communist at the dawn of the 20th century only refined the tools. Vladimir Lenin took power in 1917 on a raft of offers—land to peasants, bread in starving cities of Russia, peace to Russia’s soldiers from World War I. Every one was dispensed with in subsequent years.
Now Communists are a vanishing tribe in terms of political clout. But our media and academia is in their grips. If it was Soviet Union earlier, it’s Chinese Communist Party today. All your Harvards and Oxfords are in their thrall. It’s an outcome of decades of investment. Everyone looks after their interests. Media has its own mercantile logic.
Indian media too couldn’t escape. First from Anglo-Saxons and then from Communists after Independence in cahoots with the ruling Congress. Rulers did their politics, Judiciary its check and balances. Army was a manpower to go to Europe and fight White Man’s wars before 1947. Our media sprang from Kolkata Marwaris—all your Times of India, Indian Express and Hindustan Times et all—who needed to secure their sugar, cotton, rubber, oil, copper, opium and found doing government’s calling through propaganda was a quid pro quo best pursued.
With such intrinsic interests of the Powers, is it any wonder that Indian media would never speak for Indian interests and the US media won’t speak for US interests? We would be fooled on “Freedom of Express”, “Black Lives Matter”, “Gender Justice” and other euphemisms when its propagandists don’t mean a word of it. The idea is to keep the society in perpetual conflict. That was what Lenin sought. That’s what Communists have done ever since. They survive only when the traditional culture is dead. And we, the common people, are collateral damage in this quest for control.
Now that people are waking up to Left propaganda—see how Trump is storming despite every false projection. The Communists are now hanging on to coattails of Islamist forces. Their media and academia are quick to dub you “Islamophobist” if you invite an open discussion. As they did with anti-Semitism. But then that some other day, some other time.

The news from Bengaluru is disturbing. A facebook post on the Prophet Muhammad enraged a mob of Muslims; they went on a rampage; hundreds of vehicles were burnt; dozens of policemen injured; houses put to torch; people killed. Alongside are stories of how Muslims formed a human chain to protect a Hindu temple from being vandalized; how a Muslim father named his son as “Krishna” as he was born on Krishna Janmashtami.
Bear with me for a couple of minutes as I build the background for you to connect the dots. In the hope that you would become a careful consumer of news and not one who just swallows any vomit by our newspapers.
I not only consume but also create news so know where my objectivity ends and bias begins. It’s true for most. We won’t disagree too that Muslims by and large don’t favour BJP. Or that your Sikh cousins—intermarriages are common, my mom was a Sikhni—would greet you on Holi and Deepawali but try telling them that Sikhs have emerged from the Hindus. Or that Sikhs are required to this day to register their marriage as Hindus.
I also notice a practice which if you are not careful enough would pass you by. Whenever Muslims as a religious minority do something which alarms the nation, by causing riots, killing civilians or soldiers, stories would start doing rounds in newspapers about how a few Muslims are reaching out to Hindus and shielding them from arsonists, how a few Muslims are upholding the ganga-jamuni tehzeeb, how a few were exemplary citizens before the state turned them into monsters.
Barkha Dutt made sure that the nation never forgets Burhan Wani was the son of a school teacher even if he happened to be the poster boy of Hizbul Mujahideen; that another top Hizbul commander Riaz Naikoo was a math teacher; and so on and so on. Who would forget the Indian Express headline: “And they hanged Yakub Memon”? It’s a classic news report which should be a matter of eternal shame for the newspaper. Please read it.
If somebody was reading the story today, he wouldn’t have a clue what Memon did for which he was hanged. There is no mention at all of why the State deemed Memon to have done a crime grave enough to be hanged. NO MENTION AT ALL. All you have is a poignant report of a man preparing for his final moment; fresh white kurta pyjama, letters exchanged in English with his family etc. Oh, I must tell you Memon had been found guilty in 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts which had left 257 killed.
Why do you think this happens? Why the innocent killing of civilians, threat to national security, incalculable damage to assets fades into the background and the image of an innocent, lovable kid in the neighbourhood, one whose only affair was with books and academics, is kept in your face? Why no sooner Pulwama happens, which leaves 46 of our soldiers martyred, you find stories in our newspapers that Kashmiri students all over the country are being beaten in hostels, in streets, and that they are fleeing and railways stations are filling up? Why a sympathetic narrative is spun alongside a grave crime?
On matters of Kashmir Valley or Punjab insurgency, it’s simply to cast in stone the image of a carefree youngster who was alienated enough by the Indian state to turn into a terrorist. Remember, movie “Maachis”? The chief protagonist only loafs around with his friends when police frames them and puts them on the run, seeking revenge against the system.
Now let’s return to today. Let’s look closely at the Muslim man who has named his “Krishna” on Janmashtami. Aziz Khan belongs to Indore in Madhya Pradesh. India Abroad News Service (IANS) informs us that “the doctor Praveen Jadia asked for the baby’s name to be filled in for the form. I immediately named our boy as Krishna, as the day was Janmashtami.
“Although the doctors and other family members objected to it, but I told them that a father has the right to give any name to his child.”
The IANS further adds: Khan’s mother Yaniki had suggested another name “Kafir” but Aziz did not change it.
What say folks. Teary-eyed. Angry at right-wingers poking fingers at innocent, harried Indian muslims? The violence still on in Bengaluru already faded in your memory? The anger you felt at Muslims taking their reverence to their Prophet to murderous levels already diluted?
So let me disappoint you readers. This story is a dozen years old. This happened in 2008. Why this story is doing rounds now after 12 years? it’s commendable but what relevance it has to the present situation which would only polarize society, feed the islamist elements and is bad for all of us? Try googling this story and you would see every newspaper, magazine, website swooning over the exemplary Muslim.
That’s why I say folks connect dots. When your respected Tauji forwards a WhatsApp image moved by his proclivity for Narendra Modi or his undying faith in the Gandhi clan, THINK. When your aunt in Pondicherry has just forwarded a map which shows Chinese incursion in the Galwan Valley, PAUSE. I guess now there are more economists in our homes than we had ever suspected. Or the very next day, these economists are ready with their nuanced view on India’s latest defence purchase. If you, reader, are an evolved consumer of news, it would foil their sinister designs. India only breaks up when its citizens don’t connect what they consume as news.

I am presuming you to have missed the ferocity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal attack on West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in his two rallies on Saturday. Blame it on your newspapers, folks. And pay attention: Modi is to raid West Bengal again in his third rally in Siliguri on February 8 and you similarly would’ve a blanket pulled over eyes by your newspapers.
It’s important to call out these English mainstream newspapers. Indian Express and The Hindu are alleged to be the Left’s front soldiers (an irony for Mamata’s TMC it is which has uprooted decades of Left’s entrenched rule in West Bengal and logically the newspapers should’ve lapped up the charges against “Didi” –but no Modi and BJP are a bigger existential threat to Commies’ ideology); Hindustan Times is said to bat for Congress; Times of India is relatively neutral but that’s not to mean it’s objective: in an advertisement-ridden newspaper, important aspects of a story are hacked without a thought.
I am not going to point out mischiefs of each newspapers though there is a great provocation on the part of Indian Express. Look at its headline: “After budget, Modi hardsells sops for farmers, middle class”. Does it convey you Modi’s brutal attack on Mamata? If you are an Indian Express reader, take time out to read their coverage in full and you would be aghast. This editor is no journo but an artist. If you agree then spread the word to put lakhs of its innocent readers on guard (The newspaper is India’s sixth largest and are even more impressive on internet: India ranking 80; Global 982 as per Alexa).
So below are the specific punches which Modi threw at Mamata in his two rallies on Saturday (watch the two speeches in Thakurnagar and Durgapur; Modi is at his best) and compare it with the information your English newspapers have provided:
- I am aware of what happened in Durgapur last night (Mamata’s poster put above Modi; welcome gates pulled down, Modi’s image blackened)
- Centre has announced Rs 90,000 crores worth of project for people in Bengal. The West Bengal government has either not started or have stalled them.
- By scrapping the Ayushman Bharat (health) Yojana, is West Bengal government being sensitive to the need of poor and deprived who need medical attention? Yeh nirdayi sarkar hai (this is a heartless state government).
- Similarly, she (Mamata) doesn’t want CBI in the state. Why worry if you are innocent. When I was the chief minister of Gujarat, I was interrogated for nine hours by the agency. We said bring as many as you want. We don’t worry for we are honest. We never allowed institutions to get insulted. (Mamata may refuse CBI entry but that’s not “damaging institutions” and “democracy” for our cheat newspapers.)
- Mamata is now seen together with opposition who only make false promises. Remember Congress has similarly announced loan-waivers for farmers 10 years ago (of Rs 52,000 crores). And they have done it again. In Rajasthan, the Congress government has thrown up its hands (and said we can’t waive off loans). In Karnataka, police is being sent after farmers who haven’t paid loans. Today lakhs of those are being waived off who even haven’t availed loans. As against a loan-waiving promised of Rs 2.5 lakhs, those benefitting have availed loans of a mere Rs 13!”
- West Bengal government doesn’t even touch those projects in which the syndicate is not involved. They are afraid of RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority). Now flats have to be handed over in time. Black money won’t work. The (construction) lobby is being hurt. Chit Fund, Saradha, painting scams all lead to one door (ostensibly Mamata and TMC’s).
- Everyone knows TMC has Trinamool Tolabaaji (extortion) Tax (TTT). From college admission to teacher transfer, it’s being levied. Students are being taxed.
- Looking at this massive surging crowd (watch the videos, it’s like ocean of people), I am confident the people of West Bengal would assert themselves. Didi is following the same tactics (of repression and non-development) as was done by the Left. Such forces do not last. She may stop helicopter (of Amit Shah) from landing, may stop yatras (as was done recently) but the people won’t stop. I can clearly see it in your presence now.
Two attending news need to be brought to your notice, readers. One, Home Minister Rajnath Singh has accused Mamata’s government of not providing land to seal the India-Bangladesh border which is causing massive infiltration, including one of Jihadis, from the across the border. “Illegal citizens from Bangladesh are entering West Bengal,” said Rajnath Singh. (This while Mamata fights tooth and nail the Citizenship Bill, intended for induction of displaced Indian refugees from our neighbouring countries.)
Two, CBI is in hot trail of Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar who it claims is missing and faces “imminent arrest”. Rajeev Kumar allegedly is delaying and diluting the SIT probe in the multi-crore Saradha and Rose Valley ponzi scams. As per CBI sources, they had summoned the officer twice for interrogation but he (Rajeev Kumar) had not been cooperating. Over to Times of India:
“CBI sources said when Kumar was leading the state Special Investigating Team (SIT), crucial evidence had either been lost or tampered with to save some influential persons in the state.
“After CBI summoned him, Rajeev Kuma had even written to then CBI director Alok Kumar Verma. The Saradha and Rose Valley chit fund probes were being headed by then special director Rakesh Asthana at that time, which apparently had become another bone of contention between Verma and Asthana…”
Well, well, well, I hope you get the drift readers. West Bengal is on fire. It’s at a critical trajectory where BJP is trying to fight back the Islamist, Jihadi forces and their takeover of Mamata’s land. BJP plans to turn the heat further in coming days. Amit Shah has begun his poll campaign; and so has Rajnath Singh, not to forget Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is coming over. Modi would be the mascot of these “Ganatantra Bachao (Save Democracy)” rallies across the state.
Meanwhile, I presume you are aware of the development that TMC Lok Sabha MP, Saumitra Khan had joined the BJP last month and likened Mamata Banerjee to Germany’s Adolf Hitler. If not, you could blame this too on your newspapers.
